Several types of [guest accounts](https://www.ethz.ch/content/dam/ethz/associates/services/Service/IT-Services/files/catalogue/identity-access/nethz-gaeste-konten-en.pdf) are available for ETH services and submitted to a set of [rules](https://www1.ethz.ch/id/documentation/merkblaetter/guestaccounts_EN.pdf).
Day guests
----------
Noteworthy are **day guest accounts** as any nETHZ user can create up to 3 such accounts. They are valid for 6 days and grant access to the ETH wireless and VPN. To create such an account, simply log in to [password.ethz.ch](https://idn.ethz.ch/cgi-bin/admin_tool/main.cgi), navigate to the second tab `Meine Services` and click on `Tagesgast`. You are then prompted to enter a username and password for the guest account. Note that the guest account is assigned to the creator who is held responsible for its usage.
