ETH users have access to the Microsoft365 (formerly known as Office365) subscription for MS Office, Teams & Co.

ETH has decided to move from the anonymized accounts to the personal `nethz-username@collab.ethz.ch` logins. Your full name and username will be shared with Microsoft.
The detailed license agreement can be found in the IT Shop and will be shown before ordering.
In particular it implies that _no classified information_ is allowed to be stored in the Cloud. This typically includes (among others):
- research findings before publication
- research data subject to contractual confidentiality with third parties
- sensitive personal or financial data
- evaluation reports in the recruitment process
The user and/or information owner (ie professor) will be held responsible.

* Go to [itshop.ethz.ch](https://itshop.ethz.ch) and log in with your N-ETHZ account.
* In the left navigation, click on _Service Catalog_, then _Cloud Subscription_ (below _Identity and Access_), and finally _Microsoft Cloud Access_.
* Please DO READ the license agreement and ponder its implications.
* After submitting the request, wait for the confirmation mail.
* In the IT Shop, navigate to _My Services_ and click _Microsoft Cloud Subscription_.
* Use the `nethz-username@collab.ethz.ch` and initial password to log in on [www.office.com](https://www.office.com)
* Set a new password for your Microsoft account.
* When prompted for the two-factor authentication, think about whether you want to share your private mobile number with Microsoft. Alternatively pick _email_ from the other options and enter `nethz-username@ethz.ch`.
