It might be worthwile to test operating system dependent performance (Linux, macOS, Windows) with a reference scene from the project. Some users reported using Linux yields maximum performance. One user reported that the processing time for the step "Build Dense Cloud" was cut in half while using Linux instead of Windows.
However, test at ISG (see below) using monument example data showed 20% lower processing time on Windows while using Ultra High setting for step Build Dense Cloud. Using lower settings showed similar processing times on both platforms. Conclusion: It is unclear. Performance could highly depend on the scene being processed. I had the feeling (not measured) that the GPU was utilized ~20% of the total processing time for this scene.
